Kirsten Dunst is married to her longtime boyfriend Jesse Plemons, the father of her two children. The pair said “Yes” at Ocho Rios in Jamaica last weekend after six years of dating.
A representative of Dunst says: “I can confirm that they are married. No further details will be given.”
The couple first met on the set of the FX drama “Fargo” in 2015, where they played a married couple. However, Dunst broke up with her then-boyfriend, Garrett Hedlund, and they didn’t start dating until 2016.
The couple got engaged over the Golden Globes weekend in January 2017. The “Bring It On” star and “Friday Night Lights” sweetheart welcomed son Ennis in spring 2018 and son James Robert last year. Dunst told the LA Times in February that they “called each other husband and wife” but postponed their wedding because of the COVID-19 pandemic and their second child.
Earlier this year, both actors were nominated for an Oscar once again for their roles as the newlyweds in “The Power of the Dog.”
Plemons describes the moment she first met Dunst at the Hollywood Walk of Fame in August 2019: “Immediately, without exchanging many words, I looked into her eyes and saw that she was a beautiful, sweet, vulnerable, hospitable person.
Dunst told the New York Times that she had spoken to Plemons. “We were two people working very alike and I felt like soul mates.” And she said, “I knew you would be in my life forever.”
